Our Story

It all started back in 1985, in a 20’ x 10’ store on 600 South and 69 East in Salt Lake City. The original name of Utah Ski Rentals has since changed to our current name of Utah Ski and Golf. We went on to open 5 more stores. We also opened 2 stores in Park City, UT and another in the Cottonwood Area. We were the only company in the world (as far as we knew) to have Ski Shops in any Airport in the world, but in 2003 we pulled out of the Airport locations.

In 1987 we moved to our current location at 134 W. 600 South in Downtown Salt Lake City. We have enjoyed great success and we attribute that by offering unmatched Customer Service, outstanding products, and the most important; Great prices.

On December 21st, 1996 we were devastated by a fire which engulfed our entire flagship store in Downtown Salt Lake City. It was a total loss. But with the will, determination and support of our community/friends/family, we were fortunate enough to rebuild and start over in the exact same location. We currently have 4 locations and are still running strong. We continue to live by the same concepts that allowed us to grow from the beginning.
